Weekly appointment 1/22/07

No news is... no news. We really didn't get any new information today. They full mri results are still not back, though the perinatologist did get a two line summary. It said that there's a level 2 tumor and a space in the brain that they aren't positive what it is and we won't know the full extent until she's born . Gee, thanks. She was surprised that we hadn't heard from the radiologists. I guess it's good that they didn't see anything new or don't feel that it's pressing to relay the information.

We will have an appointment in the next few weeks to speak with the pediatric surgeons and to have a fetal echocardiogram.

** edited to clarify that the level 2 tumor is the one on her spine. They looked at both the tumor and her brain during the mri. As far as level 2, there are 4 levels (1-4) that indicate how much is inside her body. Level 1 means very little and 4 means completely inside. Also, the higher the number, the higher the chance of malignancy. Again, nothing we didn't know, but I didn't write it very clearly and hadn't discussed it in those terms before.
